At my first encounter at an early age with friends from far away,
I was told "The universe is not only stranger than we imagine -
it is stranger than YOU CAN imagine."

Could this be true? Is it possible the universe is THAT strange?
If so, does that imply human imagination has its limitations?
And if so, does a hu man got to know his limitations?
What if it were true?  -Dimitri

After that amazing brain-altering childhood experience, Dimitri set out to find alla dose limitations. Racing through schools, he was an IIT 'TechHawk' at age 15. By 17, he had explored 50 US states, Caribbean US Territories, conquered the AlCan highway, all Canadian provinces, & most of Mexico. By 22, he'd circumnavigated the globe three times, having been initiated as a Shellback on April 6, 1970 at longitude 45° 27' E.

At 23, Dimitri had a dream in which a minor deity came down and proclaimed a man's got to know his limitations. Which further spurred Dimitri's search for his limitations, not having found them at that point.

Dimitri has explored (names when he was there)
New Delhi, Madras, the Taj Mahal, Bombay, the Red Fort at Jaipur, Stonehenge, Mombasa, Nairobi, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti Plains, Dar Es Salaam, the bridge on the River Kwai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Bangkok, Pago Pago, Bali, New Guinea, Tenerife, Casablanca, Capetown, Taipei, Dakar, Zurich, Munich, Paris, Luanda, Eiffel Tower, Hofbrau Haus, Mt. Fuji, Mauna Loa, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. McKinley/Denali, Mammoth Cave, Swiss/Austrian Alps

and his experiences include:
safaris, riding on the Marrakesh Xpress; getting a good lecturing from Mary Leakey @ Olduvai Gorge; had a Singapore Sling at the Raffles Hotel; survived Death Valley, the Sahara, Grand Canyon, Great Salt Lake, Mojave Desert; bought a bullet at the Alamo; an argument with a hungry bear over nappa & bean sprouts resolved amicably leaving all uninjured; chased by enraged mother ostrich - Nairobi National Park; survived the Rift Valley Peugeot Service from Mombasa to Nairobi; LSSCC rallye champion, experienced 240-Z racer; skied Vail, Aspen, Copper Mountain, Steamboat Springs, Breckenridge ...; dropped a camera into Loch Lomond; birdied first hole @ Golf Club of Luxembourg (chipped in with a wood-shafted 7 iron); broke 100 at The Auld Course at St. Andrews, Scotland; fugitive from Kenyan authorities on a vehicle-related charge; last hit for the cycle in 1999?

Dimitri's Ferrari 308GTSi, was a thank-you gift from Thomas Magnum for saving him from the jaws of an alligator. Vertigo's hot blue Z-car is #1 of 6 'Vertigo Jones' edition by Nissan. Dizzy Simon's airplane is courtesy of some guy 'Charlie' that taxied into the driveway one day and told her she could have it. He was going to the 'Rock'.
